چکیده
Reduced-order stick models are frequently employed to obtain dynamic amplification factors of self-elevating units (SEU), while the full-order finite element (FE) used for quasi-static analyses. This paper develops an efficient framework create structural digital twins SEUs by combining both and FE models. A model a detailed in-house developed generic SEU established, respectively, following standard industry guideline. Dynamic analyses performed based on modal superposition method. Assuming that contains key characteristics model, participation multiplied corresponding mode shapes full derive global responses entire SEU. The derived nodal displacements imposed member stresses. stresses benchmarked with results from direct analysis various environmental conditions. presented is found significantly increase efficiency simulation retaining similar accuracy, it forms critical step ongoing development fixed offshore structures.

A reduced-order model for an efficient analysis of cardiovascular hemodynamics problems using multiscale approach is presented in this work. Starting from a patient-specific computational mesh obtained by medical imaging techniques, an analysis methodology based on a two-step automatic procedure is proposed. First a coupled 1D-3D Finite Element Simulation is performed and the results are used t...

Software MOR for ANSYS has been developed at IMTEK in 2003. It allows us to perform model reduction directly to finite element models developed in ANSYS. The goal of the present paper is to describe progress achieved for the last two years and review our publications with application of MOR for ANSYS to various engineering problems for different domains: heat transfer, structural mechanics, the...
متن کاملReduced order model for doubly output induction generator in wind park using integral manifold theory
A dynamic reduced order model using integral manifold theory has been derived, which can be used to simulate the DOIG wind turbine using a double-winding representation of the generator rotor. The model is suitable for use in transient stability programs that can be used to investigate large power systems. The behavior of a wind farm and the network under various system disturbances was stu...
متن کاملA reduced-order stochastic finite element analysis for structures with uncertainties
This work examines the effects of uncertain material and geometry properties on the dynamic characteristics of a simply supported plate. The forced responses of the plate are predicted using the polynomial chaos expansion method. The stochastic system equations are transformed to a set of deterministic equations using Galerkin projection. In order to improve the computational efficiency when at...
